Hyggelig København

В целом Копенгаген произвел впечатление, которое лучше всего описывается фразой „charmed my socks off“ :-) Уютные (huggelige) кафешки, вкусная еда, замечательные музеи и прогрессивный скандинавский attitude towards life…

MUST-DOs:
Nyhavn – take a boat tour from there, a really cool way to experience the city & see the architectural & cultural highlights (e.g. Copenhagen Opera House, Vor Frelsers Kirke). Tip: visit the Happy Wall & Shoe Wall on the way there from the center (you can’t really miss them).
Jægersborgsgade & Elmegade cosy/artsy streets in Nørrebro, full of cafes, chocolatiers
Karamelleriet (Jægersborggade 36) – best caramel shop ever! production of caramel & fudge is right inside the shop, so during the week (but, unfortunately, not on the weekend) the whole neighbourhood smells of caramel :-)
Christiania – a creative place in Christianshavn…
Strøget – main shopping street, not as special as the creative shops in Nørrebro, but needs to be "mapped" for the sake of completeness ;-)
Tivoli – attraction park, they have fireworks every Saturday night @ 23:30
Assistens Kirkegård (Assistens Cemetery) - Hans Christian Andersen & Søren Kjergiergard are buried there & it’s pretty cool to walk around or just bike through its parky leafy alleys.
Kødbyen (Meatpacking district)
If you’re into statues of famous men, visit Søren Kierkegaard’s Statue in the Library Garden & Hans Christian Andresen’s statue in the Rosenborg Castle Gardens.
Tårnet - go up the tower - it's free & the view is pretty cool
Rent a bike @ bycyklen or anywhere else ;-)

MUSEUMS:
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek (Dantes Plads 7) – museum with a pretty impressive art collection
Thorvaldsens Museum (Bertel Thorvaldsens Plads 2) – paradise for sculpture lovers
Statens Museum for Kunst (Sølvgade 48-50)

RESTAURANTS:
GRØD (Jægersborggade 50) – a healthy way to start a day, that restaurant has a very scientific approach towards porridge & serves only … porridge ;-)
Cafe N (Blågårdsgade 17) – another great way to start a Sunday in Nørrebro; vegetarian brunch is delicious!
Kalaset (Vendersgade 16) – cool chillaxed atmosphere, nice for both breakfast & dinner, creative approach towards the menu; retro radios on the walls.
Llama (Lille Kongensgade 14) - part of the cofoco chain, Llama has the best cocktails: Mescalita [Mescal, lime & basil] will excite your taste buds in a very unexpected way, trust me; a very creative fusion approach towards blending South American & Nordic cuisine
Laundromat (Elmegade 15) – Iceland connection :) An Icelandic coffee chain: delicious coffee, friendly/creative atmosphere and very helpful staff
Sticks & Sushi – a nice sea-food chain, good value for money & quite a lot of choices

And here’re a couple of restaurants that were recommended to me by colleagues, but where I didn’t (yet) get a chance to go:
Höst (Nørre Farimagsgade 41) – part of the cofoco chain that place got recommended to me 2 times: by collagues & by our local Airbnb hosts
Madklubben – a cool food “club”, similar concept to cofoco
Brasserie Nimb (Bernstorffsgade 5)
TIVOLI HOTEL - Sticks & Sushi @ 12th floor (Arni Magnussons Gade 2)
Kadeau (Wildersgade 10A) - Nordic & pricey :-)

Вот такой вот списочек :-) Non-stop fun на длинный weekend в Копенгагене обеспечен ;-)
Travel safely и, конечно, на пути домой не забудьте захватит датский marcipanbrød для родственников, друзей, коллег и домашних животных ;-)
